Common Asko Error Codes

Is your Asko appliance displaying an error code? Find out what it means and how our Toronto technicians can help.

Dishwasher Error Codes

Error CodeMeaningDescription & Solution
F10Dishwasher inlet valve fault. The inlet valve circuit has failed. The valve and its wiring need testing; replace the valve if it does not open.
F11Dishwasher drain fault. The dishwasher cannot drain in time. Clean the filter, clear the drain hose, and verify the drain pump runs; replace the pump if faulty.
F12Dishwasher inlet / fill fault. The dishwasher did not fill within the expected time. Check the supply tap is open and clean the inlet filter; if the code persists the inlet valve needs replacement.
F40Dishwasher inlet fault. The water inlet is not reaching the expected level. Verify supply tap and inlet filter; replace the inlet valve if faulty.
F41Dishwasher thermistor (NTC) fault. The NTC thermistor is out of range so the dishwasher cannot regulate wash temperature. Test and replace the thermistor.
F42Dishwasher flow meter fault. The flow meter is not reporting the correct intake volume. Inspect the flow meter and its wiring; replace if faulty.
F43Dishwasher diverter valve fault. The diverter valve is not switching between wash circuits correctly. Inspect and replace the diverter.
F44Dishwasher overflow detected. The overflow sensor has tripped. Inspect the base pan for water; if present, find and fix the leak before resetting.
F45Dishwasher leak detected.Water has been detected in the base pan. Tip the dishwasher forward to drain the pan; if water returns, the inlet valve or a hose is leaking and needs service.
F52Dishwasher water-level fault. The pressure sensor is not reporting the correct water level. Check the pressure hose for clogs or damage, then replace the sensor if needed.
F54Dishwasher overfill. The dishwasher has overfilled. The inlet valve may be stuck open or the pressure sensor has failed; both need testing.
F56Dishwasher circulation pump fault. The circulation pump is not running correctly. Inspect the pump, capacitor, and wiring; replace the pump if faulty.

Washer Error Codes

Error CodeMeaningDescription & Solution
F1Washer heating time exceeded. The water did not reach target temperature in time. Test the heating element and thermistor; replace if out of specification.
F3Washer drain fault. The washer cannot drain in time. Clean the pump filter, clear any kinks in the drain hose, and confirm the drain pump runs.
F4Washer fill fault. The washer did not fill within the expected time. Verify both supply taps are open and clean the inlet valve screens; replace the inlet valve if faulty.
F6Washer heating fault. The heater or NTC thermistor is out of range so the washer cannot regulate wash temperature. Test the heating element and thermistor; replace if out of specification.
F7Washer door lock fault. The control does not sense the door as closed and locked. Confirm the door shuts fully and the latch clicks; if the code stays, the door lock assembly needs replacement.
TH1 / TH2Washer thermistor fault. The NTC thermistor is out of range so the washer cannot regulate wash temperature. Test and replace the thermistor.

Dryer Error Codes

Error CodeMeaningDescription & Solution
Clean lint filterDryer lint-filter maintenance message (not a fault). Not a fault: the dryer is asking to be cleaned. Rinse the lint filters under running water, dry them fully, and refit them. Skipping this is the most common cause of long drying times.
Clean condenser / heat exchangerDryer condenser maintenance message (not a fault). Not a fault: the heat-pump condenser or heat exchanger is clogged with lint. Remove and rinse the condenser unit and clear the housing; a blocked condenser causes long cycles and over-temperature shutdowns.
